This massive diorama, cased in mahogany, was undoubtedly an important taxidermy commission of the Victorian era. It includes a total of seventy seven exotic taxidermy birds of the world with two central specimens being a Greater bird of paradise and a Toco Toucan. Having spent it's life in a darkened room of a Scottish estate, the piece is in remarkable condition.
