Description: Original solid oak coat rack with mounted snarling fox mask by P. Spicer and sons. Highly unusual, and featured in 'A record of Spicers' by Robert Chinnery.

Peter Spicer is regarded by most collectors as the greatest British taxidermist, his work in our opinion has never been bettered. He ran a large taxidermy company in Leamington Spa during the late 19th century and early 20th century before it passed on to his sons.
