Description: Taxidermy Jack Snipe in a four sided glass case with watercolour backdrop and intricate groundwork with a painted glass water effect. Signed and dated 1928. There's also a large trade label on the back along with original wall hanger.

Peter Spicer is regarded by most collectors as the greatest British taxidermist, his work in our opinion has never been bettered. He ran a large taxidermy company in Leamington Spa during the late 19th century and early 20th century before it passed on to his sons.
